YCN was formed in 2001; at the time to establish an annual Award program for emerging creative practitioners. Based around a collection of live creative briefs, written each year by partnering brands, the YCN Student Awards have gone from strength to strength; and have cemented relationships with leading art and design colleges internationally. Our Awards activities have recently extended into the professional realm; and continue to unearth emerging talent internationally.

In 2007 a unique Agency was established within YCN; today representing the finest illustration and moving-image design talent, and producing design, content, products, campaigns and other communication in all media for varied clients. This agency model marries a central team of designers, art directors and project managers with a remote network of collaborators and co-creators; enlisted to add colour to client projects when required - and otherwise available for direct commission through YCN.

YCN has a physical home at 72 Rivington Street in London; a multi-purpose workspace comprising a public ground floor, two stories of studio and a rooftop. The ground floor is open daily as a Shop and Library in which to share creative output, market selected products, offer publications for loan and showcase the work of those we represent.
