David Sparshott undertook a placement in the YCN studio, and worked on a number of illustration and image making projects. He kept a blog of his time here.
Login/register to postToday is sadly my last day at YCN. And as a treat i wanted to post possibly the most abhorant adverts ever created.
Last night we were treated to a night a wrestling by Doritos, which was quite amusing! The curry afterwards was great.
My weekend away turned into a weekend and alf a week after Easy Jet kindly cancelled my flight home. from Munich. After spending 5 days in sunny beergardens it's been a hard couples of days a work!

Another reason for it being a lovely day is that design-due 'HudsonBec' have moved into the YCN studio to spend a few weeks working on the YCN Live project. Although the view outside the window remains better that that of inside.

Lovely day, here's the view from the studio.
I was up at half six and at London Bridge for half seven. We had perfect weather for filming which was good fun, and I got to play with lots of dogs! Back up to London and in the studio again. I'll add some images tomorrow and looking forward to some sleep!

Alex, Hans, Guy, and I are off early tomorrow morning to film down on Reigate Hill for some exciting future activities that are taking part as part of YCN Live. Hopefully we'll get some nice weather.
My bike has been a big pain for the last few days. I got a punture by not doing a good enough job at avoiding a pot hole on the way into work on monday. So upon finally getting a new inner tube and attempting to fit it i managed to put a hole in it. So, it's more walking to and from work. It's my birthday tomorrow so fingers crossed i'll get a new inner tube and better luck!

This is Sand (http://www.thisissand.com/) is a website that Johanna Lundberg helped to develop alongside Jenna Sutela & Timo Koro. Have a play and waste some time at work!

We have finished at the New Designers. Thanks to everyone who was in over the weekend drawing portraits. I somehow managed not be dragged in which meant i could get out of the house. I went up to a street party in Hackney and had some nice spicy chicken which was cooked by local kids, thankfully i'm still standing.

Today is our final day drawing people at New Designers in Angel. The opening night was a bit crazy, 2 1/2 hours of solid portrait drawing. I was working with Samuel Bell yesterday (http://www.samuelbell.co.uk) and it was a little quieter. This afternoon it is Emily Robertson (http://www.seeplats.com) and myself, hopefully it should be a fun end to a busy week.

I've pulled a few lovely screen grabs together from the Becks Fusion videos. Great dancing from Stuart and Roland, Emily looks rather discused, and Alex looking very sweet!

The commended set of portraits have all been collated and are ready to be printed. It's been a long time coming!
Last night i popped into the White Cube to see the opening of Ernesto Caivano's show. His work is incredible, it's well worth having a look. http://www.whitecube.com/exhibitions/ernesto_caivano/
My friend Mark has just returned from a quick fire European tour with his band. If you love a bit of hardcore check them out. He's back home and back to veganism.
I like this video because it has lots of dogs flying in the air
