A very early version of a poster design I'm working on for a forthcoming charity concert. I am usually allergic to script and black letter fonts so it's been quite therapeutic to use them heavily for once. I'll probably ditch them and go for Helvetica Neue (just for a change!) by the time the design is finished but I'm liking it at the moment. It could be worse, I could be addicted to Comic Sans I suppose...

Just been looking at this site of stunning photos from a physicist who has only been interested in photography for the last three years. They're all quite dark and surreal with a distinctive Eastern European look to them. Some people are far too talented for their own good, it makes me sick!

Sorry to lower the tone of the classy illustration posts, but the banana faces earlier reminded me of an old satsuma I scanned. Childish I know, but I find it strangely endearing...

This is where I have spent all my daylight hours for the last year since moving to London '€“ until this afternoon when I handed in my notice, hurrah! After much fannying about I have finally decided to take the plunge and go freelance (or sit begging on street corners depending on how well the work goes). I will miss the unproductive hours spent looking out of those lovely big windows daydreaming the hours away waiting for my next fag break...
Just seen on Pixelsurgeon.com that apparently the consistently excellent I Love Dust are looking for an intern for a month's trial. If I wasn't too old, skint and generally plain lazy then I would be very tempted...

Some personal work in progress based on one of my girlfirend's photos. Just something to pass the time in dull moments at work (of which there are quite a few).

It may look suspiciously like a living room with a mac on the dining table, but really it's a creative powerhouse, honest!
