An agency runs as part of YCN; producing all kinds of creative work for all kinds of clients. We also source and represent the finest illustrators and moving image designers, promoting their work for commissions.
A showreel presenting a selection of moving image designers available to commission through YCN can now be enjoyed online in the agency section. The idents used throughout were created by Rainbow Dropshadow.
The Annual YCN Student Awards have now launched with a Call for Entries. All of this year's live creative briefs, and all else needed to take part in the awards, can now be found in a new dedicated site.

The people behind Big Chill festival are organising a benefit gig at the Roundhouse on Thursday 25th February for Haiti. 100% of the money raised will be donated directly to ActionAid and Médecins Sans Frontières to support our work saving and re-building the lives of those affected by the Haiti earthquake. The fantastic line-up includes Paul Weller, Reverend and the Makers, Seasick Steve, Bombay Bicycle Club, Magic Numbers, Mr Hudson, KT Tunstall and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly. Please visit the website for more details; tickets can be bought here.
You can currently tackle ActionAid's brief as part of the YCN Student Awards; full details of which can be found here.

We Love Patterns is a family company created by Argentinean illustrator and designer Gastón Caba in collaboration with Silvana Marino and Lara Caba, celebrating all things patterned. You can view the fantastic new website, here.

David has recently been commissioned through YCN for a number of projects - including the illustration shown above which he created for Minale Design Strategy's 2010 calendar - a full case study of which can be seen in the Agency section, here. We are lucky enough to have David working from our studio at 72 Rivington Street at present; and you can see his freshly updated website, here.

It was great to see Owen when he popped by the studio earlier today to discuss his involvement in an exciting new print project - details of which will appear here soon. In the meantime, you can see more from Owen in his portfolio as part of the Agency section, here.
It was great to meet the team behind Household this week to discuss coming projects and a potential collaboration. Shown above is a image taken as part of a project they undertook for the V&A Village Fete entitled The Love Machine in collaboration with Bahbak Hashemi-Nezhad and Yuri Suzuki. You can see the Love Machine in action, here.
The deadline is fast approaching for submitting work as part of the YCN Student Awards. This year we have been lucky enough to work with a fantastic range of brands, including some international companies such as US-based TATA Communications. Those who tackle the TATA brief will need to creatively demonstrate the potential of the TATA Communications Telepresence service and the ways it enables people to work together better. You can find out more about Telepresence by watching the video, here. All submissions as part of the YCN Student Awards need reach us by 26th March.

YCN is delighted that the Lending Library at 72 Rivington Street has been nominated for the Interactive category of the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year. The Library was conceived in collaboration with architect Tomas Klassnik and boasts a visual identity created by EAT SLEEP WORK / PLAY. As part of the forthcoming exhibition of all those nominated - hosted by the fantastic Design Museum - YCN will be reconstructing the popular rainbow of books, originally created as a window display by Jiggery Pokery to mark the opening of the Lending Library at 72 Rivington Street.
Enjoy the latest work from some of those available to commission through YCN in the Agency section.
